Oh my goodness, I know you all are like, "who is this person and when did she start updating her blog?" Well, I'm sorry, but life has gotten a little crazy as the school year ends and Spring Fever has hit like a ton of bricks (did I mention I work with the rowdy / dysfunctional kids to begin with?) wheew! Wouldya believe there are only 8 days left? I'm not sure if we all are going to make it!
Thought #1 in my brain as I have no time to blog: Why is the bank taking so freakin' long to process our loan application?!?!??!? I want to close on our house darnnit!!! grrrrr.....
#2: I just bought several plants for a window box herb garden for the new house. Yay, real house! :) But it gets better: as I research them to find out how not to kill them, 4 of the 5 actually WANT to be neglected! WOOT! What better plants are there than the ones that ask for full sun and little water? Catnip, Lavender, Rosemary, and Oregano for the win. Awesome! (Stupid basil and being an "annual" and needing "watering".... bah)
#3: When will this schoolyear end?!
Knitty Batty
Started to show friends a new pair of shoes, but expanded to include updates on my knitting and important events, as well as ramblings on life, the universe, and everything. (If you can't see a picture, click on it to make it bigger!)

WHEEE!!!
John and I have entered into contract on a townhouse of our very own! Our initial offer was accepted without any counter-offers, so all we need to do is get with the bank for an official loan and to get a house inspection done (better safe than sorry even in a newer building). :D My secret: find a property that has been on the market for a loooooong time and play upon the seller's desperation. Sad, but true.
John keeps laughing at me because I am so excited. He says it must be something about your first closing (he's already bought some investment properties with his parents); though he did amend that this one we will actually walk away with a set of keys! Very exciting for me.
